Awards & Recognition

CPC offers clients a solid industry reputation for completing work that exceeds expectations. Our work has received many accolades including the awards listed below:

2004 National Award for Excellence in Concrete Pavement

Winner: US 93, Ashley Creek to Kalispell, Montana

CPC completed the $3.4 million contract on time in spite of many rain delay days, due largely to its innovative techniques. CPC utilized a Guntert & Zimmerman S-850 Quadra-Track paver to pave without stringlines through the use of the cross-slope computer program. In addition, CPC placed the curb & gutter integrally with the concrete pavement through the use of mule designed and fabricated by CPC. The Project was competed timely while earning 99.5% of the smoothness incentive offered by the Montana Department of Transportation. CPC produced its own concrete for the project, averaging flexural strengths of 718 psi at 28 days, well beyond the MDOT-specified 500 psi.

2004 National Award for Excellence in Concrete Pavement

Finalist: I-84 Glenns Ferry to King Hill, Idaho

CPC earned this award in the same construction season in which CPC won the National Award noted above. This Project was a fast-paced project with strict quality control issues for the CPC-produced concrete, three interchanges and two Snake River bridges to work around, and a night work requirement. CPC earned 97% of the available smoothness incentive despite daily grade transitions. The Project finished with an average ride of 0.5 inch per mile, and no corrective measures needed.

2004 Recognition of Exemplary Teamwork in FOD Prevention Award

CPC was recognized for its efforts in Foreign Objects Debris Prevention for the 366th Fighter Wing at Mtn. Home Air Force Base.

CPC's $5.5 million proposal was selected by the Air Force in a Best-Value solicitation to Repair Taxiways and Overruns. The award was issued to CPC construction crews for their diligence to ensure that no Air Force equipment or assets sustained damage from foreign objects.
